THANK YOU MR. MILLIKEN!!!
I am the daughter of one your battle buddies, Carl Williams. I always felt such a story should be told... and you told it the best way possible: in first person. Over the years my father never said much about "Nam" but when he did reminisce it was profound. Somtimes he'd get this far-off look in his eyes and we knew he was there all over again. Some accounts were funny some were sad but overall I know it is the time my father became a man and learned many figurative lessons about survival while literally fighting for his own. He, you, as well as all other Vietnam soldiers went thru too much out there; all are heroes and it feels good to have my dad honored and immortalized thru your novel like this. He is also honored to be apart!
About the Book: Enter and Die! is an accurate account of the historical facts and the time frame in which it occurred. Meet the members of the Third Platoon as the author recounts tales of their life during the Vietnam War. Sgt. Milliken describes his feelings and thought processes when he is shot, kills the enemy, and witnesses the death and wounding of enemy soldiers and comrades. Graphic violence, unusual experiences, and comical episodes characterize the book, one event after another. People will wonder how Milliken survived the war after the many near-death situations he experienced. Unlike many wartime novels, Enter and Die! is easy to read, as much as it is mind-blowing. As one reader comments, “Extremely emotional—I began to cry."
